Presently, over four villages partnered with GTI as cassava out-growers and contract farmers producing cassava tubers to meet the 300 metric tons cassava tubers required daily at the factory. With the technical support of IITA and Ogun State Ministry of Agriculture Agro Services Department, the farmers are organized into clusters to ensure easy and profitable production of cassava all year round. Not less than 2,000 skilled and unskilled workers are currently employed by the network of out-growers and contract farmers to produce and harvest cassava for the factory. The company has also cultivated cassava on 1,000 hectares of farmland in Ishaga Orile, Joga Orile and Shawon in Ogun State to ensure stable supplies.
